Lumbini is located in the south-central Terai of Nepal. For millions of Buddhists pilgrims all over the world, it evokes a kind of holy significance.The Mayadevi Temple, the Birth Marker Stone, The Ashok Pillar, the holy Pushkirini pond, the Eternal Peace Flame and the numerous huge monasteries constructed by different countries are the major attraction of Lumbini. Lumbini has been listed in the UNESCOS World Heritage Sites in 1997 AD due to its religious importance and historical background. Likewise the Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa dominates the skyline which is one of the largest unique structure's stupas in the world. The influx of large populations of refugees from Tibet has seen the construction around which is one of the most popular tourist sites in Kathmandu valley . World Peace Stupa constructed in Pokhara is also another main attaction for the pilgrim that reside in top hill of Pokhara .
Day 01Arrival
Arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport. Welcome by our office representative then transfer to hotel. Check into the hotel with welcome drinks and tour briefing. Rest and easy. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
Day 02 Sightseeing in Kathmandu
After breakfast drive to visit Swayambhunath Stupa. It is one of the oldest Buddhist monuments in the world with more than 2000 years of history and also a major Buddhist pilgrimage. The civilization of Kathmandu Valley itself begins with Swayambhu, which literally means "the self-existent." Later drive to Boudhanath Stupa. It is also another one of the largest stupa and an important Buddhist pilgrimage sight. It is in unique shape in octagonal design with hundreds of prayer wheels around the dome and the 108 images of the Buddha . The area of Boudhnath is also famous for over 50 Tibetan monasteries, also known as the 'Little Tibet'. Later drive back to hotel and overnight.
Day 03 Drive to Pokhara [210km/6-7 hrs.approx.]
After breakfast ,scenic drive along the highway to Pokhara about 6-7 hours. Reach Pokahra , check-in to hotel and rest. Free and easy .Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 World Peace Stupa
After breakfast drive about 25 mins. uphill to visit World Peace Stupa. It was constructed by Buddhist monks from the Japanese Nipponzan organization on a narrow ridge hill above the Phewa Lake. Besides being a cultural monument, this site is also famous for the panoramic view of mountain ranges along view of the Pokhara Valley. Later drive to Tibetan Refugee Camp in Hangja .Then drive into Matepani Gumba .It is one of the biggest gumba (monastery) in Pokhara where many Buddhist monks resides. Later drive back to hotel. Free and easy .Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 Drive to Lumbini [5-6 hrs /225 km]
After breakfast drive along highway about 5-6 hours to reach Lumbini - a birth place of Gautam Buddha . Reach Lumbini check-in to hotel. Rest ,free and easy . Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 Lumbini sightseeing / Kathmandu
After breakfast visit to Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Pillar ,Buddhist monasteries . Drive to Bhairawa domestic airport to connect flight back to Kathmandu. Receive at airport and transfer to hotel . Rest ,free and easy. Overnight.
Day 07 Namobuddha sightseeing
After breakfast , drive about 2 hrs to reach Namobuddha Temple. There is a belief that one of the incarnation of Lord Buddha had offered his body flesh to a fed a hungry mother tigress who was starving with several cubs. Explore the place along visit nearby Monastery with magnificient view of panaromic mountain range in clear weather . Later drive back to Kathmandu hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 Departure
After breakfast. timely transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuwan Int’l Airport for your onward journey.
