Hanoi, the capital, pays homage to the nation’s iconic Communist-era leader, Ho Chi Minh, via a huge marble mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) has French colonial landmarks, plus Vietnamese War history museums and the Chu Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers.
Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation whose landscape spans low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, mountains and Gulf of Thailand coastline. Phnom Penh, its capital, is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum's historical and archaeological exhibits. In the country's northwest are the ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire.
Day 01 Kathmandu - Ho Chi Minh
Fly from Kathmandu to Vietnam city - Ho Chi Minh City. Our representative will assit you at Airport Immigration for Fast Track Sevice Visa On Arrival . Later drive to 9/11 park for relaxation and freshness before checkin to hotel . Hotel checkin is available after 1400 hrs only . Spend of 1 hour in park then transfer to hotel . Cehckin and rest. Evening transfer for Saigon river dinner cruise . Back to hotel and overnight.
Day 02 Chu Chi Tunnel / City sightseeing
This morning, after breakfast we will leave the city by private vehicle to visit the amazing tunnel network of Cu Chi. This incredible system, covering almost 250km in length was shelter to over 16,000 Vietcong guerrillas during the wars. Initially started in 1948 to provide shelter against the French air and ground sweeps, the network went on to serve as communication routes, storage facilities, hospitals and living quarters for Vietnamese fighters throughout the American war. Lter afternoon set out on a tour of the former capital of French Indochina. Historic landmarks include the Old Saigon post office, War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Opera House. Continue your tour by visiting the Reunification Palace ,ethnic Chinese district of Cholon. Back to hotel and overnight.
Day 03 Mekong Delta
Today, at 08:00 after breakfast ,depart from Ho Chi Minh City to explore Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta (130km - 2.5 - 3 hour driving). Pick up at the Phong Nam pier. Get on boat and will cruise along the Chet Say river (a branch of the Mekong) and stop off at various local workplaces to give you a picture of how the local economy works, including coconut activated charcoal factory where coconut shell is put into high heat kiln to produce coconut charcoal; a coconut processing workshop. Boat will cruise through the small canal, discover the local life , have a short walk to experience real Delta village life, visit a mat weaving house, where straw mats are woven using a hand loom etc. Return back to Pier by boat and drive back to hotel. Overnight.
Day 04 Drive from Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh / Half day city tour
Today after early breakfast, leave Vietnam and drive to Cambodia via border corss [5-6 hours drive] . Visa on arrival at border . Our representative will then assis t and transfer you to hotel . Later afternoon discover Phnom Penh City, capital of Cambodia ,Mekong River “Chaktomuk”, and historical capital more than 600 years after Angkor. Visit Wat Phnom, an ancient pagoda standing atop a hill, ,Royal Palace , Silver Pagoda located within the Royal Palace compound. Then, visit Toul Sleng, an ancient school which was used as a prison during the Khmer Rouge period and walk around the Russian market built in 1937 and of a splendid colonial architectural style. Return back to hotel and overnight .
Day 05 Drive From Phnom Penh to Siem Reap / Buffet Dinner with Apsara show
After early breakfast transfer with guide to Siem Reap city via Coach. The drive will take around 6 hours.During the way, the bus will stop at a local restaurant for you to have lunch at your own expense. Upon arrival at the in Siem Reap, you will be transferred to the hotel to check in. Rest. In the evening, at 18:00 you will be transfered to a local restaurant for the buffet dinner while enjoying the Apsara dance. Back to hotel and overnight .
Day 06 Angkor Wat sightseeing Full day
Breakfast at the hotel then transfer for the excursion to Angkor Wat, considered the most harmonious monument of Angkor in terms of style, proportions and conception, which has become a national symbol representing the unity of the Cambodian people. Visit Angkor Thom, the capital of Angkor from the 10th to the 15th century. It is the masterpiece of classical Hinduism, Angkor Thom testifies to the passage to a different sign inspiration, that of Mahayana Buddhism . Also visit the sites of Jayavarman VII (1181-1220) South Gate, Bayon, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King. Then go to Ta Prohm (Jayavarman VII). Return back to hotel. Overnight.
Day 07 Departure
After breakfast, timely transfer to airport for return back to Nepal .
